Default a bit of horn trouble

strange issue:

while i'm driving, if the wheel is straight, i have to press rather hard on the steering wheel in order to sound the horn. sometimes it will not go off at all.

if the wheel is turned, i can tap the wheel and have it sound off.

if the wheel is straight and the car is off, it is also easy to sound the horn.

is there some sort of contact wearing out behind my airbag?

anyone have any ideas? i'd like to come up with a solution and just have the mechanic/dealership fix it according to what i want, instead of telling me to replace an entire air bag unit.

A horn in my opinion is very important to have. What would you do if your driving and the idiot next to you decides to turn into your lane without checking or you're stopped at a light and the jerk ahead isn't moving on a green light? Also, how would you get the attention of hotties while you're driving?

Well first you would just use the finger for the bastards that cut you off... For the hot girls, I would suggest you rev the engine, and as far as getting the person in front of you to move. You just dont do anything because then when they notice they were a complete idiot, they will move. And you have something to laugh about after you drive by giving them the worst stare ever. Haha.

First of, the finger doesn't work that well since the bastard obviously didn't see you and will hit you before you even have time to flip him. As for the idiot that won't move on a green light... they usually will when the lights turns from yellow to red. Not so funny when you have to stop at the light for the second time.
