Default Accord 98 Lx

PLEASE HELP ME

i bought a used 98 Honda Accord and last week the door locks suddenly
stopped working. during the troubleshooting process i found that each
individual door window operator worked fine, however from the driver
master window controller, only the driver's side windows would operate
but not the passenger side windows. but my alarm works.

I had a similar thing happen. I took it to the dealer and they fixed it for about $300.

The heatwave has cause both of my lock actuators to now sieze from time to time. Used to just be the passenger side .

Try to remove the cover on your door and check the control unit for power doors. I had the same problem with my 89 Civic. I just went to some junk yard, found the same car, got that box, pluged it in and everything started working. Unfortunately I forgot what that control unit is called
I hope that it is not difficult to take the cover off.

good luck

this may just be a weather related thing. my alarm becomes psycho when its really hot. u may have lose wires or contacts. go to www.hondaautoparts.com look up your car and front door locks and go from there. u will get diagrams, parts and prices. its probably the lock actuator. in my 92 accord the main one is located in the passenger door. i cant remember if any of my window motors have been replaced. i have replaced 1 regulator.. u can go to an alarm shop they may be able to help u also. alot cheaper then the dealer. good luck.
