FogLights for 05 coupe Ex
Hi!
I was just wondering if all cars (that have a fog light option) have fog light wiring in place? I recently bought some fog lights on eBay (probably a HUGE mistake) but they look just like OEM. Package came in with the all the wiring harness, but I was hoping that car is already prewired
I did take apart interior (under the steering wheel) and I couldn't find any "loose ends" that would go into the fog light switch? Does it mean that I have to run the wiring harness?
I did find a PDF file (on this forum) that gives you a step-by-step instructions with pictures, but I am hoping for an easy way out without going to a body shop.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
dimaj

very few honda/acura vehicles have the fog light wiring already in the car, and then its only part of the harness, not the whole thing. The harness that came with your lights needs to be used.
And buying OEM replica lights wasnt a huge mistake, you probably got them for under $100 where the dealer will charge roughly $300 just for the kit.

Thanks for the fast reply!
I got them for about $75 (or so) shipped on eBay. The thing that concerns me is that they might not fit into the designed spot on the bumper. I placed one of the lights next to the cover and it seemed like I would have to jam the fog light in to make it fit
I'm really against forcing things in when dealing with electronics and cars

Cool!
thanks for the info!!!
Well... i didnt' cut the bumper yet and didnt' actually plug them in... but by putting the fog light assembly next to the cover (the one that you have to cut out in order to put the lights in) fog light assembly seemed a bit bigger.
I will probably start working on it next weekend. I will let you know how it went
Thanks again.

I believe they are slightly larger so that the new covers will cover the cut edge... I cant imagine them not fitting... the OEM replica fogs normally fit properly.

Let me know if you still need any help with this. If what was on that link is what you got, those are OEM. I just purchased mine for 230 and installed myself. It was fantastic. Not complicated at all but it did take some time.
PS when you get there, let me know where you grounded the wire under the dash. I could not reach the Cruise control box.

NP... I just don't get why would instructions tell you to go to CC when all you need is just a piece of metal and any bolt that goes to that metal...?
