i've been noticing this on my 94 accord ex the past month or two... sometimes i'll be driving, and at a certain rpm in 3rd gear, with no throttle, the car starts to rumble a bit... i really think this is coming from the tranny since it only does it at that rpm in that gear, and as soon as i hit the gas it smoothes out... please tell me i dont need work on the tranny, is this bad? or is there a cheap way to fix it?

 

hmm hard to say, doesn't sound good might be that your 3rd gear is on its way out

 

how are we supposed to diagnose a 'rumble'?

 

calm down man... i was asking if anyone ever heard of this happening before. not asking them to come to my house and take it for a drive
