Default engine sputters

i have an 87 honda accord.... recently replaced fuel filters (primary and secondary) distributer cap and roter, plugs and plug wires
ok the problem is that as im driving down the road it runs fine then outa nowhere starts to sputter and eventually die... kinda like a lawn mower thats out of gas if you know what i mean but im on a full tank... and dont know what the problem is the fuel filters are fairly new like 3 to 4 months ... could then clog that fast? but everything esle i listed is brand new like within the past week and a half

any response is appriciated
Ricky

HMM you've checked/replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs and wires, distributor cap and rotor.....if we check for spark/air/fuel......have you tried checking your fuel pump? maybe its dyin on you, your car is a 87....when it goes bad your fuel gets cut off n of course your not gonna go no where lol

not sure exactly how to "test" it besides replacing it....you can also check your injectors, could be clogged.......also start with the cheap/easy stuff first, stuff you can check yourself and won't cost you anything, then after that check off one thing at a time, process of elimination
