Strange Issues with 94
Car: 94 EX sedan, 5-speed
To start with, I already changed the TPS, as I thought it was the problem... not it. My car, when at about 1/4 throttle, "stumbles" and runs really rough. If i give it more throttle, it goes right away... its always at the same "window" of throttle, no matter what gear. The plug wires and rotor are new, I have a MSD distributor and coil, tried changing the coil too and it didnt make any difference. It seems to be an electrical/sensor issue, but what else could cause the car to do this? Any help or more ideas would be great.. I would say the fuel filter too, as I know its old, but the problem would be more sporatic I would imagine.

tru...i had a 98 supercharged gs-r and had the "MSD" setup (blaster ss coil, distributor cap/rotor, wires, and 6a-l).....i had almost the same problem you had but worse it would even struggle at idle and even cut off.......you changed the coil but i don't think thats the problem.....my problem was the MSD distributor cap and rotor......i took it off and the contacts where just gone and worn i was sparkin on maybe 2 cylinders and the other 2 once in a while or not at all (engine dying and shutting off)......replaced both and problem went away.....and you have to change the cap and rotor both they're not too expensive i paid about ~$60 for both parts at my performance store around here
Nope, not the MSD setup... went back to stock ignition and still has all the same symptoms.
The "window" is not RPM related, its throttle position related... which is what lead me to believe it was the TPS, which its not.
I really cant imagine what else this could be... Im just gonna keep trying things and see if I can eliminate it... its really buggin me and I wont sell the car like this.
