Took me maybe 15 minutes to take off the door panel (I like to go slow to avoid damaging something I'd be able to see/notice), 10 minutes to figure out what the problem is, 20 minutes to drive to the Honda dealer and back to get the connector, 7 minutes to install it (I went slow so I wouldn't drop the connector or cut myself), and 5 minutes to put the door panel back.

I think it would take you maybe 45 minutes since it's your first time. Take off the door panel and put it in your back seat or trunk, look inside, and figure out what you need. Then drive to your dealership, describe the piece you need, and they'll bring up the schematics on the screen...point to the piece you need, buy it, and go home. Once home, it should only take you 5 minutes to install it, and about 7-10 minutes to put your door panel back on.

Even if you don't have enough time to do it, I wouldn't pay the shop all that money...just wait for a few weeks until you can do it yourself.

The shop probably thinks something else is wrong....and if you're willing to pay their price, they might just go ahead and say, "yes, that was the problem", and make off with a $358 profit for 30 minutes of work.
