Passenger door open?

Passenger door open?
Hey guys,
Yesterday, my girlfriend went to shut the passenger door and its status on my gauge cluster is still "open", also, my dome light will not shut off because it still thinks the door is open (so i set it to "off"). The door does lock though.. any thoughts?
I have tried to play with the little claw thing where the door latches onto the body, but to no avail.
Thoughts are appreciated!,

It's probably a wiring issue inside the door...the connection is probably loose or fell off. You'd have to take the door panel off and have a lot of patience to find the problem.
