Default 9005 conversion

ok, i'm about to do the sylvania silverstar 9005 conversion for my low beams ( as soon as i find a damn store in town thatcarries them), i was just wondering whats involved. I looked at a website that says what parts of the plastic to cut to make them fit, is that all you have to do thuogh. somebody said they're like 10 more watts, so do you change the fuse too, or what? if youi know the answer or have a p[age with the full instructions,(if it's more than cutting) then lemme know. later

ok ii finally got my bulbs and cut em, put em in, they look awesome. One thing though, i only cut the tab to make it fit in lock, i didn't cut the guide inside at all but it fit fine into the harness...?

to anyonre considering silverstars, go for it, theyre tight as hell

could you get some pix up of the silverstar 9005 conversion? I wanna see if there is a noticeable difference between 9006/9005 silverstars.

For even greater performance upgrade your stock wire harness from www.suvlights.com
dang, that seems like a big difference! but is the 9005 conversion okay with the stock harness, or will it fry it eventually?

the stock harness is fine. it only draws 9 more watts which isn't a lot of extra current running through the wires. using an 80 or 100 W bulb would cause problems, though.
honda probably used the same wires for the low and high beams anyway. it saves them money.

that's what i meant, i was trying to say that it's the same gauge wire for the 9005 harness as the 9006 harness. i know that there are two different bulbs on each side w/two different harnesses.
