Bad speed sensor or leaking abs fluid... have you check the code?

i check the code but i couldn't get a reading because the abs light only comes on when you first start to move. if you start the car and let it idle it won't come on you have to put the car into first and then roll and it comes on

Isn't this a common ABS fifth gen issue, I think the ABS units simply go bad left and right if I recall. Most folks just live with the light.

I say pull the bulb out and call it a day. No more light.

See if autozone will (can) pull the code for you. It will point you to which wheel speed sensor is out of range. Just replace that one...that's my bestimate...

Inspection cares if ABS works?

Last I recall ABS is an option and not a mandate like Airbags...
