Default A few general questions

I have a '99 Accord LX and for now I am content with going for more show than go and along that line my first question arises. I want to change the color of my interior to black with blue trim. Now the best suggestion I have been given to date is to sand each piece, prime, sand, prime, color, color, clear coat, clear coat. I have no problem with doing this I am just curious if there is anything else I could/should be doing(Lastly on this part, what kind of paint should I be using?). Also with this process withstand the test of time? Now along the "go" line. I eventually would like to do an engine swap but I am unsure if I shoud go with a H22A with a JR supercharger or go with the Accord V6 with a Comptech SC. I am still kinda new to the whole tuning world and I just curious which setup would give better 1/4 mile times(obviously with other mods.) Any input is appreciated. and If you just feeling like being a post whore... feel free.

Thanx,
Bob

the painting plan is good and should last long if not 3 coats of color. as for the engine swaps, my opinion is that it's kinda pointless to get an h22 since you have that new of a car. you might be better off with f/i off the bat and that goes the same for a v6, but the v6 might be even harder to do. i'm not big on 6th gens but thats what i know

Ok, comptech makes a very nice almost bolt-on sc for the V6's.

So do you have a V6?

Unfortunately I don't. By the way I love the body kit on your car, makes it look real aggressive.

Question for anyone. I want to change color of my passenger side airbag along with all the trim in the manner I described above. Would this be advisable to do on the airbag?

The reason I ask is if you really want the V6 so you can do J.R. SC, then you should really sell your I4 and buy a V6...much easier than swapping in a V6.

But better than that...I'd just go for a turbo on your F23. Best bang for your buck.

Oh, and thanks for the compliment.

You are definately right about the trade in being easier but I am really getting into the mechanics and I am really looking forward to experience and knowledge I will get from doing the engine swap.(Even though it will probably be a few years from now.) And since you bring it up. what kind of performance do you think one could get from turboing a F23?
