Default 06 Accord tires

I love my '06 Accord, but the 17" rims with Michelin tires might as well be solid steel wheels from the standpoint of riding comfort. I have lowered tire pressures to 28 psi, which helps. One owner suggested installing the larger 225-55 tires, but they are an inch larger in diameter and will mess up my speedometer related calibrations. Unfortunately Goodyear Comfort Tread tires, which I have found will improve riding comfort dramatically, are not available in the 215-50 size.

Has anyone with an '06 Honda with 17" rims figured out a way to improve the ride? Are there any tire experts in the crowd who have an opinion on how low I can run the pressure in the Michelin tires for city driving without compromising safety, disregarding potential reductions in tire wear and gasoline mileage?

Why didn't you buy a Camry You're hurting fuel economy by running down to 28psi and hurting handling quite a bit.
