Default Engine runs a little weird at 59-65 mph?

I'm having a REALLY hard time trying to determin if this is just in my head or if there's something wrong with the car. When i get on the highway, and accellerating from 559to 65 mph, when i hit around 60, the engine feels like it's stuttering a little bit. it's hard to tell because 1) it feels like it's possibly the road, 2) all other speeds are fine and 3) the car has 56,000 miles on it and it's a certified used car. I just replaced the air filter and currently using 5 w 30 mobil synthetic oil. i've also tried driving on several diff pavements and the same thing seems to happen.

Car doesnt really show much of a struggle, but it's a light shuddering, enough to make my radar detector bounce a little bit. also enough for me to notice it very lightly on the steering wheel and me thinks the dashboard shakes a little.

Hope somoene might know something more than i do about this.

it's a 2003 Accord LX with a 4 cylinder, 56,000 miles.

Thanks!

get an alignment and your tires rotated/balanced.

alignment is fine. I had a flat tire before this problem and got 2 new tires. problem existed before and after.

I wasnt aware that alignment could cause a slight shuddering, i thought it would just pull the car to one side or the other?

am i wrong?

It happened to me once. Depends on how the car is out of alignment.

It's not your engine if it only does it at a certain vehicle speed. That would mean it's your wheels. It would be your engine if it did it at a certain engine speed or at a certain acceleration rate.

possible the transmission could be acting up? as if it's having some trouble shifting into overdrive?

quick story about my car - it's certified used, but the dealership i got it from didnt tell me it was in a front and rear end collision. i found weld points and some rust in the wheel well as well as bonding material in on the whole back trunk area. So, i wanted to see if maybe this is maybe related to the accident it was in. (whatever kind it was)

Then it might be a suspension problem then. Something is hitting a very strong vibration frequency at a certain speed.

I thought certified used cars couldnt be in accidents?

that's what I thought. I didnt know it was in an accident until later on when i had to replace the tire with a spare. Saw all this tan colored bonding material along the whole back end of the trunk. I called honda of america, they said i had to deal with the dealership (Which is 1000 miles away)

I Tried to get them to do something but they won't even acknoledge the fact that it was in an accident with the previous owner. I'll be posting the story soon, but basically honda fixed a few things, but as i found newer things, they're telling me they won't do anything except be an advocate in my favor and that each dealership is independently owned.

what a crock of sh!t.

anyone have similar situations with this type of problem?

unfortunately i think dealers will certify anything. wrecked or not. try the tire balance and rotate them. check your bushings. sway bar..
