Default Drivers Side Mirror Motor

Anyone ever replaced this?

My has been flakey for about a year. It will move up-down but not in-out,
but if I manually rotate the mirror in the housing it will sometimes work.

I'm selling this to a friend and want it fixed. Does the glass just pop off
so I can access the motor? I'm going to see if maybe some cleaning will fix
it.

Yes, the mirror does just pop off. Hold a screwdriver to the bottom and gently pry.

I was able to pop it off. Better to just move it full in or out, and reach your fingers behind it and pop it off. I removed the wires and replaced and it's working fine. The motor is inside the mirror. There are two nipples that screw in and out. I snapped it back on, and all is well

I think this only holds true for the Sedan, the coupe uses a different motor setup but I'm glad all is well

I didn't check, but it's motor is unique to the sedan. You can't manually adjust the coupe mirrors as you can on the sedan.

One uses a spring clip the other uses suctioners for lack of a better term...
