how to get my groove back!?
iihey i wanted to know if anyone else on this message board has every had their car violated.
the other night i was at "good times" while inside some kid decided that he liked my m3 spoiler, razo shift knob, door moulding,honda badge, jvc cd player, and aem v2 air intake better than i do. its not like i worked my ass off for all those things....(sarcasm)
ive had a cd player stolen before, but this sucks much more. the ride from the place to my friends house sucked. i couldn't rev above 2 grand. boston @$$hole drivers were tailing me and leaning on their horns, even though i was in the right lane and they could have passed me. it really sucked. the people even popped my hood to clip the grounding wire to the alarm to shut off the sound.
this really pisses me off. whoever took the stuf must be weak minded. for me its not so much the fact that i got stuff stolen as the fact that all the parts on my car represent all the hard work and crappy jobs ive had over the past few summers.
anyone have any ideas on what to do next?
thanks

Well,
Besides the obvious - report it to the police, I would say that if you are going to have a car with all these upgrades, such car will draw attention. This means you have a few options:
1) Drive a stock car that does not draw so much attention;
2) Drive an upgraded car (like yours) but be careful where you park it all the time;
3) Drive an upgraded car with concealed upgrades so it looks like OEM/stock car to outside world.
Thats the f. uped world we live in. To many A-Holes around ready to take your property......sorry it happened to you...

sorry to hear. i hate people who only fix up their cars by stealing from other enthusiasts. I remember the articles back in the day where people would have their emblems stolen at Hot Import Nights, and other enthusiast events.
You need:
1. 2-way pager alarm, with a back-up battery. In my accord, the siren is mounted to the wheelwell, and the siren wires are routed underneath. Thus, you can't directly cut them from the engine bay, and the alarm keeps going if you cut the battery wire.
2. Hood locks.
My car was broken into twice in two months...and I was living in a gated apartment complex. The first time they broke in, they took quite a bit of stuff. My car had to be towed on a flatbed to a shop so the insurance could have it fixed. I had a crappy alarm at the time. The alarm wasn't useable anymore (it was all cut up or something), so the insurance paid for a 2-way pager alarm. One time my car was parked about a block away (had no parking), my car paged me. Right before I exited the complex, I hit the remote-start on my remote. As I exited the complex, I saw this guy running in the street so fast (against traffic, with a scared look on his face)...I then ran over to my car, and found my car broken into. Let's just say I just needed to replace the window that 2nd time...I just hopped into my car and drove it to someone else's place

the more physical shit you put on your car...will usually deter theives away.
such as auto-lock, shifter lock, steering wheel lock and then you can goto the kill switches and alarm is a must. (if you get the steering wheel lock i have, it makes a pretty good weapon)
clean the interior of your car, make it spotless, keep everything in the trunk.
try keeping the interior fairly stock.
as far as the embelm stealing goes...just shave the embelms

i do have all the stock crap...i do mean crap!
i replaced the intake with stock, the cd player stock and shift boot+knob stock.
i was going to do more fun performance mods this summer but now it looks like repair and security. Very good suggestions by the way. thanks
the thief broke one of the mounting places for the intake so now when i gun it the engine gets loud and then the air box starts to shake very wildly...it sounds angrey but not the type of angrey i want my car to sound like.
the thing that locks the wheel or clutch sounds like a good idea.
btw... Wedley, i already have an 18 inch breaker bar in the trunk specifically for tightning "lug nuts...or attitudes" hahahahahaha. just kidding i wouldn't do that.
thanks again
arent those two way pager things wicked expensive?
good thing my friends were there, got my cell phone jacked too...salt on my wounds........jeez im tired!
