Default dim headlights

i have a 05 accord lx, and my healights dim/flicker randomly while driving at night. i had honda check it out, they tested charging system and the alternator and checked for loose connections but found nothing. without being able to duplicate the problem they couldn't fix it. i found a tsb for this problem on my specific year car, but honda told me it doesn't apply because of my vin number. anyone have any suggestions or insight as to the problem?

Have you replaced the bulbs in an attempt to fix the problem. Start cheap, I wouldn't throw a ton of money at it before you MAKE the dealer fix it. What's the bumper-to-bumper warranty on your car?

thanks for the tip. but the bulbs are the original stock ones so i can't see why they would be the culprit, i can understand if they were aftermarket high wattage bulbs how that could be the case. the warranty is the original manufacturer's 3yr-36,000mile warranty. i'm at 33,000+ miles now, so if i can find the culprit before the warranty expires that would be great. if not, i guess i either accept the dimming or out i'm out of pocket on the repair.

Are your headlights in-between your front and back bumper?? If so, it's covered. Have you checked the bulbs?? I wouldn't rule them out untill you've checked, just because it's stock doesn't mean it's not the problem.

It's not the bulb guys...it's an electrical problem.

Make the dealership fix it.
