Default speedometer problem

Hi,
The speedometer in my Honda Accord '96 LX stopped at 20mph and does not move. It goes to 0mph once I stop the car. How can I fix it?

Thanks

if u have the original gauge cluster, change your vehicle speed sensor. if that doesnt solve it, its the cluster.

I changed the VSS first, and nothing. Got a new speedo and put in my cluster and the needle jumps to 20mph when car is running but doesn't move. Put in whole new cluster and still nothing. Maybe a new VSS plug? Where is cheapest to buy VSS online?

So I put the new VSS in yesterday and the speedometer worked again. Only problem is that the speedo starts to read at 20mph. works fine, just thinks 20 is 0 mph. Anyone know how to resinc the speedo?

the speedo should work fine out of the box if not it might be defective or you might have overtightened the screws

I also noticed that after driving a trip that is 160 miles, the odometer only registered 58. Could this be caused by the screws being to tight? The speedometer did bounce once and a while, and clearly was giving the wrong speed.
