Default Light came on after bump?

I was cruisin nack homw from work the other night and hit an expansion joint over a bridge. No damage to wheels or anything else, however immediately after the seatbelt light came on and stays on. It will go off if I actaully buckle it. I just thought that is kind of odd. Anyone know what it could be. It really is no big deal, but I like everything on my car to function like it is supposed to.

Try going over the expansion joint backwards to reverse the process.

what's the point of a hot car if you're not going to be alive to enjoy it? Of course, after the accident your car will be trash, but you can get another. I know of too many people who won't wear the stupid thing and get killed because of it. Follow the law (not the main issue -- we all have something that isn't compliant ) but more importantly, use common sense. You people get on my nerves sometimes. If the image bothers you, get a five point belt or something
