Default Problems with acceleration

Recently I've noticed that I've been having problems with my acceleration on my 96 Honda Accord Lx. When I shift into second I feel like my acceleration takes a while to go up, this didn't happen before, I havent done any work on my car lately. any suggestions

what's your shift point? 2k rpms? 2.3k rpms etc.

when did you do a tune up? :
plugs
wires
air, oil, fuel filters

fuel system cleaners?

cheap or premium gas? (use a premium fill once since some makers put cleaners in with it)

if you answer a "no" to any of this. probably want to do so.

I usually shift around 3K, and like a 3 months ago i did a tune up and yes I use at least once a month a fuel cleaning additive but I use cheap gas. Maybe thats the problem. Its either that or something else.

ALL types of gasoline contain detergents. As we've discussed a million times on here and all over the net, it's pointless and damaging to put higher octane in an engine designed for lower octane unless you have modified significant or your engine is significantly damaged (IE timing off).

Rotating gasolines frequently is the only thing you can do with gas, since they all have different kinds of detegents.

But I digress...

Have you taken your plugs out and inspected them for visual damage/unusual wear?
Ever clean the EGR port?
Ever use a top end cleaner, like seafoam? How about a fuel system cleaner like Lucas (seafoam works here too but Lucas is probably the best)?
