Default Control Arm Bushing Issue

Hello:

I would like some input as to how big an issue this is and what you would suggest.
1995 Honda Accord V6 EXR 4 door auto

I recently went and got a front end suspension inspection at MIDAS and they informed me that my Right Lower Control Arm Bushing is cracked. (see attached pics)

Is this a majour issue that I should have repaired immeditaly?? It seems to have no effect on the car.

They quoted a rediculas $ for fixing, that involves Sway bar Kit,Control Amrs for around $1000 dollars

Suggestions??

they will be fine as long as there is no play in the bushing.

if you have a press then most bushings can get pressed out.

my bushings also have lil cracks and tears but thats after 7 years and 121k
I have not had a problem with them and I dont beleive you should worry about it. not yet at least

yo thats nothing. just go to autozone or check out tasauto.com and get that part, is original and new and cheap$ and if u dont want to do the labor just take it to your guy and he should do it for like $50. every other shop will probably charge u $100. dont let those @$$fdkjhdfn rip u off I hate when they try that.
dude a complete timing belt job + a bunch of other part at the dealer is $700.

you can easlily change that yourself if you have some standard tools, knowledge and about an hour. (this is considering you dont have a machine press in your garage... if so just ignore everything i posted)

once you get your replacement bushing take off your contorl arm and put it in a vice. then burn out the old rubber/inner metal ring with a toarch/welder (the quickest for me)

then using a hack saw cut a line in the outter metal ring that is stuck inside the hole in the control arm. next use the welder to get both sides of the cut warm (i dont even go red hot).

then using a punch or chisle give a few good wacks to the line you cut and it should just pop out.

to insert the new bushing i normally throw it in the freezer long enough to shrink the tolerences for a press fit. then i heat the hole in the contorl arm and insert the new bushing.

BE CAREFUL... when i have used this method the heat will bring the bushing back to normal size rather quickly, meaning dont have half of a bushing sticking out when it expands or else you will have to press it in the rest of the way.

i may be making a DIY for changing all that shit in the front end, cause like next weekend im changing all the bushings and joints in the front end
