Default 2002 Accord SE 4cyl. Shocks

Hi,

I own a 2002 Honda Accord SE 2dr 4cyl. I also have H&R Sport springs and KYB GR-2. I'm really disappointed with my shocks, I'm about to change the rear ones for the second time.

What do you think would be the best to replace them? Only rear or all 4.

Drop is 1.5inch, no track racing, everyday driving only but I like to push my car sometimes.

I know it has been posted already, but I would also like to know the part numbers to replace my rear sway bar with the Acura sway bar.

Thanks

You'll spend more money than KYB, I love my Koni adjustables...had them for 2-3 years now and they are great. Bilstiens should treat you good as well.

I'd just replace all 4.

Here's the part numbers from my reciepts for my TL-S/CL-S rear sway and also front upper strut bar. You don't have to replace the bolts and nuts but you do need the rear sway bar brackets and bushings.

Thanks for the part numbers.

How about Tokico shocks (HP or Illumina)? I don't need adjustable shocks.

well KYB recommends you drop your car no lower than 1.5.
Maybe 1.5 is cutting it to close???

My brother is obsessed with Bilstein shocks. Since he has a business he is able to afford it.

I've never heard anything bad about illuminas, that would be a good option. They are adjustable, but that doesn't mean you have to adjust them. But you do have the option of adjusting them, so you'll probably find a setting you like and just leave it there.

I've heard mixed reviews about the HP's.

I have KYB GR2 and H&R it rides great! Its the perfect drop too.
I have front upper, lower rear sway bars (CL) upgrade, 205/60/15 tires (a little wider).
If you are going to replace your rears with some adjustables tell me how the ride is.

I have the exact same drop as well
H&R springs (1.5F/1.3R) with KYB shocks and they seem to be perfectly fine

I'm beginning to think they were not installed properly. I will take pictures this week and post them. Maybe someone will see something wrong. I've heard only good things about KYB GR-2, everybody seems to love them, I don't understand why I'm having so many problems. By the way, it's raining today here in Montreal, and hear a clunk sound everytime time I hit a bump.

Sounds like the spring isn't correctly mounted on the upper spring mount plate or maybe you're missing some of the rubber bump stops.
