Flex pipe

I have a 98 Accord Coupe, with an APEXI cat-back system. Somehow I screwed up the flex pipe( torn/ripped) and need to replace it. Is it possible to just buy a segment and have it welded in. Isi this a good idea?

Take it to a muffler shop and tell them you need a new flex pipe....simple as that
