yeh, do the door panels come off easily? or are t hey a bitch? and the rear ones i assume are a grill over them and the back deck...i havent looked at the rear ones

 

this goes for most cars but ...

look for a screw in near the interior door latch (what you use to open the door)
look for a screw near the interior door handle (what you use to close the door)
pop a few platic plugs / buttons
tug upwards
done

 

I heard you could just pop off the grills to get to the speaker

 

the accord door panels have to be pulled out from the door, then up (once all the screws are removed)

The DX and LX accords have 6.5" speakers all the way around. The EX and SE models have 5" (NOT 5.25") up front and 6x9s in the rear. The rear speaker "pods" are removed from the underside, in the trunk... then they lift out of the rear deck and the grilles can be removed to expose the speakers.

 

What happened to the Audio and Security fourm?? I know it works, I've just noticed a rash of audio related posts in the main forums.

 

it's a judgement call on my part when it comes to audio questions in the Accord forum. If it's model specific (how do I remove the door panel on the accord, how do I remove the radio from the accord, where's the best place to mount in a coupe, etc), then I'll leave it ... if it's something more hardware based (what do you think of this radio, anyone have this amp, etc), then I'll move it.

I changed the front speakers in my 91 and I didn't pull the door panel, I just removed the grilles.
