Front brake noise
I have this very annoying noise on the front brakes of my 05 accord. The dealer said it was designed to function that way. They said that there is a gap on the brake pads that allows it to move back and forth everytime you hit the brakes. So, everytime I back up and brake then the first time I brake after moving forward, you will hear this clanking sound as if the cv is broken. Has anybody able to put a remedy on this noise to their cars?
The dealer said already that it is part of the design of the brakes for the newer accord so their is no way of taking that annoying sound away unless somebody figured an alternative way like putting an aftermarket brake pads or something. You will hear mostly when you are trying to park and doing some back and forth motion making the brakes move on both directions.
I'm having the same problem with my Accord '05. Dealer service person said it was normal on Thursday when I took it in for my 30K service. She attributed it to moisture however. The noise only happens in the early morning when the car is only 1st being used.

I have the same problem with the brakes on my 06 accord lx. They tried telling me the same bull at the dealership. They also gave me a bulliten they have printed up explaining the noise. I have checked out some 2005 and 2006 accords and none of those made the noise at all. Also my car did not make the noise before I bought it or shortly after either. Don't you think if it was suppose to make the noise that they would all do it? I am going to get my lawyer and fight this. I think some of the accords came out with defects and they are trying to cover it up with a bulliten.
my 93 ex does this as does my fathers 05 v6..... although my accord never made a sound until i installed the brembo disks and pads. and ever since then its been like clock work, over 30k and no problems. i will admit i though it was the age of the car but when i heard my dads accord i nearly shit a brick.
im having that same problem
like when your driving you press the break, release you here like a clank.everytime you pump the break. it feels like something is lose or sorts. and about the breaks or car being made to work like that,,,i dont think so. 1 is very anoying and 2 car never did it before. so when you figure it out let me know

BTW: on my accord i tried numerous things to figure out what was clanking, including going as far as inspection of the whole front end and i never could figure it out. i have yet to tear into my dads but thats mostly cause he would kill me if he sees me with a tool anywhere near his car.
My '94 Accord has the same brake clicking sound after braking in reverse then braking when moving forward for the first time. The dealer and a couple of Honda mechanics have told me this is normal. (It's more of a "click" than a loud "clunk" or "clank.")
I also had a clunking" or "clanking" sound from the front end once when driving, especially noticeable when turning and braking. I don't remember exactly, but I believe this turned out to be a bolt on one of the front lower arms that was not completely tight.
