Default 95 Accord cv joint problem

I recently got my cv joint changed at a mechanic because it started clicking. I picked it up the next day and found out that it was still clicking...so he said the one he put in might be defective so he put in another one...once again same thing... so i went back this morning and he says its the transmission bearing. Is he BSing me or is it could possibly be this problem. I have a friend that says transmissions bearing should only be in manuals...but hes not sure. does anyone out there know or who has had this problem??????

Default I had the same thing happen to me.

I took my honda in for CV joint replacement and a week later they were rattling again. He said they replaced them and again I had to go back.. Im not sure really what they were doing, but I decided to go elsewhere and have new CV joints put on and not some rebuilt crap the other shop used. To my happiness, sure enough no problems for 2 years now..

Maybe get it checked by someone else??

I just started hearing the clicking noise in my Civic. Did you get new OEM from Honda or remanufactured from Autozone? Also, whats the cost?

Based on most of my research, people that hear that click sound fixed it with the replacement of the axle. Try going to another mechanic, a place with warranty. Or try bringing in your own parts.

maybe he replaced the wrong side ?? if the noise is a clunking noise just on turns , most likely it is a bad outer cv joint,,

why not just replace the entire axle? get one from autozone it comes with lifetime warranty and after u return the old one u end up paying like $50 total.

I did replace the entire axle... well that what i thought... I went to another mechanic today and they said it was the cv joint. They said if it still clicks they wouldnt charge me. well it stopped clicking!!!!! and i come to find the other mechanic just replaced one of the axles... he said he replaced both of them... the first time i bought them in and the second time...yea right. So i bought back the old cv to him and demanded a refund. Lets hope I see it in my bank account in a few days. F*cking mechanics!
