Default F22A1 automatic transmission?

out of curiosity...what do an F22A trannies usually go for? my '95 LX has 136k miles and i suspect it will need a replacement in a year or two.

Replaced my brother's for about $900 (used ~ had about 65K)... labor was free since my uncle did the job and we knew a few shops in town. Could be anywhere in the range for $2K - 3K... at least in this area.

That's a very expensive price for one with 65k. I got a 30k old J30A1 automatic for $600 shipped 2 years ago and they're in much much higher demand than F series automatics.

That's what you pay when there are 4 buyers and only one in stock. Besides, we knew the owner and got the whole vechicle for that price since it was a total lost (rear ended)... sold the rest of the car for parts.
