damn...auto trans gone.....
driving today at lunch and transmission lost all power???coasted to a stop and there was a bearing like noise, tryed all gears but no power???so i shut the engine off waited a few minutes and tryed again but nothing just the starter making a noise?not a hint of firing,im gutted my baby has died,my dad thinks it might be the torque converter, any input would be great..
no definatly a power/drivetrain issue the battery reads 12.9 volt on my power cap, when it happened it felt like it knocked out of gear, and i could rev it in all gears but not go any where
It could be a tranny issue, it sounds like the starter is not engaging, which is normally do to a lack of voltage going to the starter OR there is a transmission issue. SInce the elctric system of the car still thinks it's in a drive gear (which it is if it's in 1,2,D3,D4) it is allowing the starter to spin, but with burn out tranny it won't engage.
It might also be the igniter. It a small black matchbox size thing that sits behind the igniton rotor.
It sounds like something that happened to my 96 Accord a couple years back. The dealer changed it out and worked fine after that.

ok ,me and my uncle took a look at it earlier and we noticed that the drive plate to torque converter span round freely???we turned over the ignition and the whole lot span as it should but not the engine,
also no d4 blinking?
we think the drive plate has sheared away from the crank bolts??what do u guys think?
