you might as well get the whole gauge cluster as they run $150-$200 for the whole thing

a lot of them are only for I4's i have a v6, they say it's not compatible

would i get in trouble cause my odometer doesn't read right?
i think it's against the law to mess with them

there's green plugs in the back of the speedometer, can't the wires that plug into them go bad?

Highly unlikely.

The redline of the V6 is 6250, it's 6600 or so for the I4. Look at the redlines of the gauges, the ebay morons dont know what they're talking about.

Your odometer would read right if you switched it to the new circuit board, but I doubt you're capable of soldering the old one to the new circuit board, so you'll wanna take it to an electronics shop.

like, 98coupv6 said, buy one on eBay because it's very cheap. If you car is a 4banger, find a 4banger cluster with the same mileage or something close to it and swap it, it's easier than soldering and stuff. I bought mine on eBay for $50 and it's still in my garage. I bought it because it was cheap, hehe,

just remember the 98-99's are one group and the 2000-2002 are in another also the 01-02 V6 coupe has a diffrent gauges kinda graphite look with red needles but are interchangable if you want to keep your mileage it's in the 93c46 in the 98-99 and in the 93c56 in the 00-02 8pin dip .

Yeah and the 98-99 temp gauge is wired differently than the 00-02 so it won't work.
