H22 in 02 Accord
how hard would it be to do this swap.i no its common but is it just bolt in and a little bit of wiring. Do you use the the stock mounts on it. just wondering. IT was a pain doing it in my buddys civic i hope its easier doing it in this.
It's a pain in the ass, I've seen it done but it's nowhere near as straight forward as an H22 into a 5th gen or 4th gen Accord. I believe you can use the stock mounts but I am not sure.
Honestly unless you plan on boosting the engine it's really not worth it. The 6th gen Accord is a pretty heavy car.

I just toasted my F23 and looked into it. I was quoted $6000 for everything from 2 local reputable shops.
I'm just going to stick with the stock engine, I found one with 19K for $500, and I'm going to be paying around $1200 for the stock swap, including the price of the motor. If you have the cash do the swap, I know of one friend with an OBDI H22 and he loves it, and I know of another friend that is in the process of swaping in an OBDII H22. there are some issues you have to deal with. I hear the wiring is a pain in the ass, and you have to modify one of the motor mounts. good luck if you attempt the swap.

I don't think the swap is a hard as people say. I'm curious into doing it also.
As far as weight. According to cars.com, the 2001 Prelude and the 2002 Accord EX 4cyl weigh close to the same
