1995 Accord. Cranks but wont start.
210k miles on the vehicle and engine. For the last 15k miles the engine occasionally hesitates/misses when accelerating for a second or so, but in general it runs well. Recently the car would not start. It cranks over well and almost seems to want to start, but fails to do so. Yesterday I turned the car to the on position (but did not try to crank it over) in order to listen for the fuel pump to prime. I did this about five times and could not hear the pump prime. So I figured the fuel pump went out. This morning I turned the key to the on position to check for the fuel pump to prime and it did. But the car wont start. It just cranks but wont turn on and run.
There is spark to the spark plug.
Does anyone have an idea what the problem might be? How would I best troubleshoot the issue?
Thank you for your help.

If I turn the key to the "starter on" position (past the "on" position) the car will run. As soon as I let the key go and it reverts to the "on" position, the car dies. I believe it may be a faulty ignition switch.
Anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks

My sister had a ‘87 crx si and a repair shop replaced the ignition switch because of a problem (I don’t know what the symptoms were. It could have been the same as your problem.) I hope you’re able to find an ignition switch in good usable condition.
I had a ‘91 crx si and the main relay had cold cracked soldier that caused the car to crank and not start in hot weather. I fixed it by desoldiering all the connections in the main relay and then applied new soldier.
take care,
ChrisS
