Default NOT another Maintenance Req. Question

I've got A '96 Accord, with over 108,000mi I've regularly pushed the maintenance required button to clear it from orange to green, but I left it go to red... now pushing the button doesn't clear it... I realize it doesn't mean nething, BUT, its just annoying havin that little red indicator on. Thanks! Ne Ideas how to get rid of it... aside from replacing the cluster that is! lol

Wow....I've never heard it turn Red. Maybe its an indication that Maintenance is required. Have you changed your timing belt etc...?
Obviously its showing up for a reason.

Mine has gone red on a few occasions. I know it's maintenance related and indicates that maintenance is due. However, I've never specifically looked it up to see if the "orange" means due or coming due. I've always assumed it means coming due and the red meant that it was actually due NOW. I just use my key and press it in and it will turn it back to green same as any other time.

i know the light comes on when you hit certain mileages.
Mine has been coming on because im close to my timing belt change.

When it goes to red I would consider it serious.

That "light" is syncronized with mileage and has nothing to do with engine status. Your engine can be misfiring and throwing codes like it's job and the light would still be green if you just reset it

I know its based on the mileage... and I know it doesn't mean nething... But it bothers me that there's a red indicator on my cluster... Pushing the reset slot with my key does NOT change it from red to green. I was kinda wondering if neone had the same problem, and / or knew a way to change it back to green.
