Default front end noise

i have a 91 accord and there is noise coming from the front end. when i take a sharp turn, i hear a clicking noise in the front end. also when i turn at the same time going over a little bump i hear like a loud clunk noise from the front end. can anyone give me any hints as to what that is?

agreed....look under your car at the cv boot. which one(s) is ripped/torn open. replace the whole axle. proably 130+ if shop does it...or 50 bucks if you do it.

I think i may have encountered the same problem

Mechanic said both my CV boots are shot, and I should change the driveshaft.. he said the boots have been busted for a while now.. so to be sure the driveshaft was not effected i should replace it.

OR

I could just replace the boots.. I'm not sure what to do yet.. I think the CV boots have been busted for a few weeks now.. could the driveshaft be gone too?

you have to replace the axle/shaft/halfshaft (whatever you want to call the whole assembly). the joint is already contaminated.
