Accord vs. TSX vs. RSX (Type S)
you'd be paying the most insurance on the RSX I would think because its a sports coupe. why don't you go to progressiveonline and get a quote on all 3 to see the difference pricewise between them?

Out of the choices you have listed I'm gonna go with TSX...
Here's my reasoning...the RSX is a coupe and I prefer 4 doors ( you may not). The Accord is a great sedan but tends to isolate the driver from damn near everything, however, you can get a powerful V6. The TSX gets good mileage even if you drive it hard (from what I've read) and is one of the best front drivers on the market. Evidently a simple tire change breathes new life into the handling of the TSX...

I know I'll get flamed for suggesting a non-Honda but...
If I were considering a sports car, I'd be looking at something rwd. Have you looked at a RX-8 w/manual trans? Great weight distribution, high revving and decently fast, roomy back seat, and cheap insurance. The engines can be modded to get some serious h.p. too.

Yep. I'm going to test drive an RX-8 for s**ts and giggles; but I already know the outcome. I'm not going to buy a Mazda. If I were going to, it would be Miata as that's what we campaign in AutoX CSP right now.
An RX-8 gets crap for gas mileage even though it fits me like a glove, the feel of the clutch, etc. I raced one in 2004 briefly and really liked it. It's insurance is cheap because it can be classed as a "4 door;" but it's gas mileage sucks and it burns oil.
I'm all about RWD; but I don't really like anything that is a roadster, as a roadster is not practical for my ideal daily.
An IS I've considered because it's RWD but it's a lead sled. So, this brings me back to the TSX and RSX, with the Accord not being excluded completely.

Back to the topic...if it were me I'd pick the TSX out the three cars originally mentioned. They are far less common (at least around here), they are very nice to look at, and they also have a better flavor of K engine than the Accord, with more potential. They also handle quite well too, from what I've read. The RSX is too small for my liking since I have family. There's my .02
