Remember the whole idea of a CAI is "cold" air. I have the AEM CAI on my 95 and it's basically out of the engine bay for all practical purposes and thus, away from most of the heat.

From what I've read, the V2 is supposed to give better gains across more of the rpm range than most CAIs. If I already had a CAI, I wouldn't bother upgrading to the V2 due to how darn expensive it is, but maybe that's just me. What kind of hp difference will you see in replacing your old one with the V2? That might make your choice easier. Generally, a CAI has only a small h.p. gain over the stock piping on a Honda, so I'd think any gains with changing between CAIs would be minimal. I'm just armchairin' though.
