radiator new
do you have an automatic? If you do..u gotta deal with 2 hoses.....
don't worry much about the tranny cooler. All it is are 2 hoses connecting to the tranny. When you get your new radiator, the 2 small outlets coming out have 2 black caps on them. Take the caps out of the new radiator and use them to plug the holes on the tranny when you remove the tranny hoses. Make sure you note where each of the 2 hoses go. Mark one of them so you can know when you install them. My tranny hoses were cracking so i went ahead and replaced those too along with the lower radiator hose. The install is very easy.. some tips.
remove negative battery terminal from battery before starting.
drain coolant.
remove the 2 plugs for the 2 fans.
remove the bolts that hold the fans..and then remove the splash guard @ the bottom so you can gain access to remove the other screws for the fans. Then lift up the fans and keep them aside.
Remove hose from thermostat housing and remove the upper radiator hose.
Remove the metal straps thats on both sides of the radiator which holds the radiator to the chasis..and the black metal thing that holds up the a/c line. lift up the radiator right up and install is the opposite.
This is more like a summary. Make sure you put 50/50 coolant/water mixture in your new radiator. If you have any more questions..then email me, IM me, or just post up.
