Default any 7440 interchangeable bulb replacements? also for 168?

I can't seem to find 7440 in amber from any reputable brand (sylvania, GE, etc). Do any other single-filament sizes work w/ the 7440 socket and the bumper turn signals for a 5th gen accord?

Also, what are some bulbs that have the same base/fit as 168 (and besides 194)? I'm trying to find some brighter corner bulbs... so far 906/912/916/921 all fit in the inner parking light of the corner lamp, but are all too big to fit on in the spot for the turn signal corner (what i really need)... so are there any other sizes that fit the corner lamp that draw more than 5w?

there's no such thing as a 7440NA. they just dont make them. there's no industry standard for them.

if you have a 94-95 with a corner lamp that blinks, a bulb that draws more than 5w wont work... i think... i tried it with a 921 in my friend's integ, and it didnt work

921 draws 18w though, pretty big diff from 5w. the other 906/912/9## series seem to vary from 5-18w, maybe a lower wattage one might work. I have a 7w (think its 7-8w) 906 bulb right now im gonna try when I get a chance, but I know that they don't fit in the blinking corner bulb, only teh parking bulb (which worked fine).

As far as 7440 replacements, I use 3757 in my turn signals (LED's). It takes some modification of the socket but it works. You can always just pick the bulb that you want and then find the corresponding socket, cut of your stock sockets and use the replacement sockets instead. You might have to modify your light housing.

not certain, but if I need to, i'll figure it out somehow later, first gotta find a bulb that fits in the corner. There isn't too much space in the OEM style corners, maybe I'll go w/ the JDM corners and a 9## bulb.

dont think that'll work. if there *is* space for the 921, it will melt the diffuser
