no one would answer this in the do it yourself forum so im gonna post here even though it will get moved. ok so i got a fix it ticket for window tint. my question is how can i take my window tint off. i dont want to pay a shop to do it because im gonna pay a tint shop to put it back on once i show the court that it's off.

it sounds like you want to reuse the tint.... which isnt really possible.

no, i dont want to reuse it. i was saying once i take it off, im gonna get tinted windows again. thanks for the link.

You can take it off yourself but it's a PITA and takes a long time. If the shop does it, it will literally take them only 10-15 minutes to strip off the 4 door windows and then just a little more time to strip off the back window. They put on a "special" solution to keep from messing up your defroster on the back window.

I just had my car redone last Spring.

ok well im only taking off the driver side and passenger side windows because california law states that no front tint is allowed. back tint is ok.

take a blade to the end of the tint, and just peel it off. just pull.
