Default low end torque

How do I increase my low end torque, for high end torque just stright pipe and intake. What do you do for low end torque, get a bigger engine? Any mods to get more lowend torque in an I4 6gen?

Advancing timing always yeilds small gains in hp and tq throughout the RPM range. Turbos, supers and NOS increase low end torque too

someone correct me if im wrong, i can be comPLETELY wrong, but i kno a few people with a HUGE single turbo in their TT supra... OEM Twin turbo, but got the greddy single turbo's and they spOOL really slow, you can see their turbo lag, cuz their single turbo(their T-78 not the T-88s which are twins), they may be running over 500 HP easily, but they told me their 0-60 is not that fast, their 1/4 miles are sick thO =) . doesnt that mean, low end torque isnt that great? maybe mid to high is nasty sick, but low end torque, would that be good? u can see the pause in the beginning. i bet some civic hatchbacks or CRX's with teg type R or jun motors could take them in the first 0-30 mph LOL.

You can't really say what's good and what's not though. That setup may be excellent for drag racing, but in autocross those Supras will more than likely get their asses handed to them.

getting an exhaust + aftermarket intake + headers will only shift the power towards the upper RPM band and most likely take away from lower end torque.

as for a turbocharger, how the hell is that increasing your low-end torque?? u don't make power until u can make exhaust pressure and that won't spool the turbo until at least 3k. a supercharger will technically not lag like a turbo, so u might gain a bit of low-stuff, and nos will def give u a little boost as well.

the best way to gain low end torque is to find yourself an h22a.
