temp sensor questions for 90-93 accord

i've got a 92, and on the 92's, does the temp sensor that runs the temp guage in the car also go to the ecu? or are there separate sensors?

The gauge & ECU don't share information. Both senders are on the end of the head, sorta under the distributor. The sender for the gauge is smaller & has only one wire. Sensor for ECU has 2 wires.

There is actually more than one that goes to the ECU
