Ok, so I took my car to have it checked out and the mechanic told me that the tie rod was going bad, as well as the wheel bearing. I am in the process of finishing changing out the hub assembly and was wondering if you guys could tell me how I could identify whether it is the inner or outer tie rod that needs changing? This is for a '92 Accord Ex

 

Visual inspection, rock it back and forth and check for play. I don't know of any more specific tests but maybe someone else can chime in.
