Default 90 Accord Headlamp!!!!!!!

New here. Just bought a 90 Accord EX, the front right light assembly was destroyed, ordered new assembly. Now, how in the world do I get it on there? I'm a VW guy and never owned a Honda...what in the world do I have to do to install the headlamp?

Please

Pretty Please!

Bumpers gotta come off bro. you at least have to undo the right side, you might be able to squeeze the old light out by just undoing the right side and doing a little bit of tugging. It's a tight fit.

The nuts holding the right side of the bumper in are underneath the headlamp, you have to remove the battery and the plastic casing the battery sits on and perhaps the radiator fluid reservoir to get to it.

It's a bitch to replace those headlights. Enjoy.

correct, but it is not as hard as replacing a turn signallight for a es300, have to take off the headlight to replace it

Default Bumper huh?

Should have figured. I think I will take the whole bumper off and make sure the left side is sealed. Surprised the bumper is still attached to the car, it has 398,000 on her and looks like it does but I guess these Honda's last. Oh well, thanks for the bad news, I'm sure I will be back on here asking stupid ass questions til I figure her out, going from German engineered then British now Japanese. Oh yea, how many bolts are on the bumper just so I know I get em all?

Thanks!

if you know how to work a socket wrench, you'll be fine. The removal is straight forward and requries nothing complicated.

Thanks for your help, I couldn't find out anywhere how to do it. My next post will be about the driver's side axle/CV, it's clickin'. But I looked underneath and it looks almost Volkswagonish, any hints on that one?

alright, rather than taking out the battery and fluid resevoir, all I did was take out the bumper lights, then used an extension to get to the front bumper bolts, then I went under the hood and did the inner bumper bolt (1 each side), then I took out all of the bolts/screws holding the bumper to the wheel well and then across the front, the bumper slid right off. Had to be careful not to yank the light connectors from the light assemblies. Not a bad deal but glad I found out I had to take the bumper off.
