Default 98 Accord remote does not open the driver door

Hi I have a 98 Accord 4 door sedan.
I sometimes have a problem with the driver's door not unlocking. Only three doors open instead of all 4 doors.

Can anyone tell me what the problem could be?
How to troubleshoot the problem?

Sometimes also when all the doors unlock it takes a few clicks of the remote to make them open and the battery in the remote is new.

Any ideas would be appreciated thanks

Ruben

Mostly likely the problem is the door lock actuator. I replaced 3 actuators on my 99 Accord since I bought it.

Does the driver door lock open when you use the door switch ???

Which door switch are you refering to?

I have to open it manually with the key once the other three doors are open from the remote.

thanks

Yes I can open the drivers door with the door switch inside no problem.

It only fails with the remote. The drivers door does not open with the remote. The three doors open fine with the remote.

Is it still the actuator?

It sounds like it might be something else. If you can open the door from the inside switch then the door lock actuator is working fine. You might need to have someone look at the car.
