instrumen gauge light cluster dimmed over time?

I have an accord 93 4cyl sedan for long time. The gauge clusters lights dimmed over time. It is no longer as bright as when the car was new. Do I have to replace the light bulbs ? Is there an alternative way to fix it?

did you check the panel light dimmer switch. maybe the little knob is set to a dimmer level, if not maybe you just need new bulbs
?????

I set the knob switch to maximum but the light still dim. Does the instrument cluster use bulb or LED? I am not even certain anymore.
