whats the gap for a 1998 Accord 4cyl? and what spark plugs are recommended, preferably platinum types?

 

just buy NGK platinums at the autoshop made for your car, it'll be pre-gapped

 

LoL, this reminds me of the first time i did my own spark plug change. i didn't know about the gap so when i asked my friend to check to make sure i did it right he was like "wtf did you even tighten them down, or did you just drop them in?"

apparently, i didn't tighten them down enough, and i didn't do the gap. then i told him "damn, that'd explain the fucking extra slowness and lag when i drive."

anyways, i recommend NGK V-Power Coppers, they are probably a little better than denso in my opinion, but that's just me. anything else i have no idea, because i only done spark plugs once.

btw, we never figured out the gap, so we just evened them all out to "that looks about right" not sure if it'll fuck something up?

how is it tough? it isnt harder persay but unreliable and possibly run into more complications

 

get NGK copper plugs from the dealer... 4 bangers dun require platinum.... i think it's gapped from the dealership too

 

don't waste your money, copper plugs will do the job fine. Densos are overpriced, I had them on my car and then went back to copper plugs. not only are they cheaper, but there is no performance difference.

 

I just installed these on my 00 accord 4 cly..I actually notice a difference. I had NGK before, and relaplaced them with these. I definatly recomend them! My engine seems to rev a little free-er too. Just my opinion

 

well if your previous spark plugs were junk, of course your going to notice a difference.
