Default alittle crack?!

was wondering what i should do about this -->

it's a crack i found on my driver-side headlight after my carwash....washed the car at a self-carwash place...drove it home...got out to do alittle detail work...and i find this.

i remember clearly that i wipped the exact same area cus there was a bug there...but didn't notice it.

anyways...it looks like a clean hole...will water go in there? would air effect it? should i replace it? what should i do? and so headlamps crack this easily?? cus i couldn't have gone more than 45mph on the way home cus it's like right down the street.

thanks for all the help guys.

peace

you have projectors rite? or 4th gen 1 piece... but anyway, if its not in the main part of the beam, id get some of the clear windshield epoxy and patch up the hole so moisture doenst get in

That happened on my 88 Chevy 4x4, within a couple months, that light housing was all yellow, dirty, etc. I replaced it.

a little crack never hurt anyone. =]

it looks like it won't spread out.
anyways, you should put some clear silicon to prevent the water get into the housing.

actually it's stock headlamps...and the thing is i got HID's so i don't wanna get them all messed up. and it's a bit right from the middle of the headlamp (if your looking at it from the front of the car). so i say it is in main part of the beam. imma go take another picture when i go pick up my bro from school

but what would have caused that?? i mean i wasn't drivin' hard and if it's a clean hole there then there should be something inside the headlamp...but i didn't see anything.

where do i get this windshield epoxy?? imma try kragen cus i got one of those around the corner.

thanks for the reply

I'm sure you just happened to be the unlucky sucker who got a rock flipped up by some big truck or something, but...it looks just like the hole that a BB makes when you shoot glass. Some kids shot up our high school with BB guns back in the day, and I remember the holes looked just like that. Probably not what happened to you, but just a thought.
