sup yea'll. i got this accord a while bakc, and now its grinding everytime i go into 3rd gear. and my boys accord is the same. he said its normal. like hell it is. i just want to know if its the clutch or the tranny?

What kinda Accord, What type a tranny(AT or MT), what type a Engine(V4,I4 or V6) be more specific please

oo i'm sry, its a 92 (4th gen) 5spd, and do u think changing the tranny fluid, in a manual will help the shifting, and if yea, whats the best tranny fluid? thankz

 

if you got grinding goin into a gear on a manual and its not how your shifting you got some serious problems

 

3rd gear synchros are weak regardless of the accord.

 

Gotta be true, both trannys i messed up were third gear problems. Shifted fine into every gear but wouldnt go into third. Then second and fourth went out soon after. You can try changing the fluid but i seriously doubt that its going to help. Those particular transmissions use regular 10w 30 motor oil. But i always go and buy the honda ginuine transmission fluid(its about $7 a quart though) .
