Default H22 Sh??

Hey all... I have a 96 Accord EX Sedan... I'm planning on purchasing this engine... http://www.mnsportcompacts.net/forum...ad.php?t=20941 from a local guy (good guy BTW). It's a SH engine... but I've heard of problems with swapping the SH engine into my car...? Like the tranny... the reason I want this one is because it's local and pretty darn cheap for the H22... any info on H22 SH w/ Accords would be good... Thanks!

you would need to run a h22 motor that does not have atts for your accord tranny to bolt up to it. The back of the SH h22 block is configured differently than the base model or non atts motors. The reason for the different configuration is because the atts unit bolts to the back of the block. You would need to get quite a few custom things done to get this thing working.

unless your willing to install ATTS in your car it's not worth the trouble. as I was going to use the SH motor and the complete ATTS system in my 5th gen was half way done installing ABS (Lx model) as it's needed for the ATTS to work and the deal fell through and ended up getting a non Sh motor. but it's not a simple drop in it requires alot of wireing ,adding sensors ,extra computer for ATTS ,new radiator with the cooler for the ATTS unit also the immobilizer unit has to be installed or it won't run.
