wow; thats expensive... i didn't think changing the T-belt water pump was that bad it took me about 7 hours cause i checked over my timing quite a few times (and made sure i had the tensioner correct this time) the only bad part was the tensioner and me screwing up and leaving that service bolt on.

Got mine done w/ my local mech for about $560(only $50/hr labor, haha) if I remember, he told me the parts are definetly more for the V6 than the I4 engine. He also did the belts as well. I asked a dealership when I was in for something else, they told me $750

I just had the following done on Thursday at a local mechanic:
Timing Belt
Balance shaft belt
Water pump
4 seals
PS Belt
Alternator belt
Valve cover gasket
Valve adjustment
Fuel Filter
This is on a 95 EX 4 Cyl VTEC (meaning a 30 minute fuel filter job)
$290 in parts (from Honda dealer)
$255 in labor.
I'd say I did ok.
