Default check engine keeps coming on

alrite this is the problem ever since i installed a highflow cat made by magnoflow my check engine keeps coming on i had it checked out, they told me that there is too much air flow going through, the computer of vehicle did not know how to read. so i installed a resenator to control the flow or decrease it . but the dam check engine keeps coming back on. i going to break the car in pieces. its a honda accord lx 2.2l 4cyclinder 96model. the vehicle also has other aftermarket parts add to it. i.e camgears, headers, coldairintake,w/ bypass valve. if anyone what could it be please let me know.

I had the same problem 3 years ago with me 2002 ex. I also installed full exhaust system... problem for me was the O2 sensor.. I dont think it will demage anything, but you might get bad mileage and since your light is always on.... you will never know when your engine is in real trouble... I drove like that for a year and replaced stock back on. I only have muffler tip now. I'm loving it.
If you want to ask me something, let me know. Because I kno exactally how you feel.

I have a crappy ebay intake on my 96 accord and never had a problem, there most be something really wrong and probably has nothing to do with the intake.
did u really plug a computer to read the code from ur check engine light? I dont think the intake has anything to do with it.

yes 02 sensor triggers the check engine light on the 96 accord after 60k miles and if u dont change it for a new one then like honura said u will get bad gas mile plus if u wait too long u can damage the cat. the o2 sensors are under the warranty.

^ Thank you

Badd mileage.... Very... since computer can't detect how much air is going through, they're just going to pump more gas and gas... If you did something to cause the engine light to come on, and want to get fixed... I doubt they go under warrenty... I tried.
