I have a 91 accord lx sedan that i am having trouble with. I have a few problems that I am currently getting fixed to get the car running normal again but i have one problem that I need help on. Every time that I begin to accelerated from a stop and sometimes when i am slowing down and I begin to accelerate again my car will hesitate to go. It makes like a puttering noise. Sometimes it will do it for a little bit and i push the gas more and then it goes and sometimes it takes a long time to get it goin again. What could this problem be. I would appreciate any help. Thanx

 

It sounds like too much fuel might be going into the chamber. The puttering sound: is it higher or lower pitched than the regular engine sound?
